The world's most important press and documentary photography exhibition is back at Franz.
This year, World Press Photo comes with something special to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the World Press Photo Foundation and the 40th anniversary of the Franz Mayer Museum.
The exhibition features the winning images of the 2026 contest, including those by Mexican photographer César Rodríguez. In addition, 33 original winning pieces are displayed for the first time outside the National Archives of the Netherlands (The Hague), bearing witness to the first seventy years of the contest's history.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of this contest and the 40th anniversary of the museum, in addition to the 2026 winning photographs, historical pieces have been taken from the The Hague historical archive to be exhibited in the Franz Mayer Museum.
